I received a couple of products from E.L.F. in the post and have been trying them for this past few days, I have to say they are AMAZING! The smell is always the first thing that I check on a product and wow I was completely blown away as they smelt like sweets! I have to add that I have never tried anything by E.L.F. before and they seem to be a staple in all the beauty blogger/youtubers bags so I thought I’d give them a go.
First thing I tried on was their lipstick in Classy. Its a pinky/mauve colour and is an exceptionally reasonable price of £1.99. When I received the products the lipstick was very, very soft so I had to put it in the fridge but when I did finally get to try it it lasted about 3 hours before I needed to reapply it. I did however apply it over the M.U.A. clear lipliner, which may have helped, and with a lip brush but the amount of tea I drink and talking I do I think that 3 hours worth of lippy on me is quite frankly amazing.
The second product was their All over colour stick in Persimmon. I actually must have went and forth smelling it for about an hour before trying this on, it reminded me of sherbet sweets…ahhh nostalgia! This is marketed as a product that can be used on the eyes, lips and face however I just used it as a highlighter and I was blown away. The last illuminator I tried was in my January Glossybox and it is from Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics and it is their All Over Glow priced at £10. I have to say it was actually a bit too glittery for me (not that there is glitter in it but it gives off that kind of appearance) to use as a highlighter but I will definitely be trying it more to see if I can work with it as I do quite like it. The All over colour stick, however, gave a very natural glow on me and I really loved it.
I definitely will buy more products from E.L.F in the future. I am so glad I gave them ago and I will continue to sniff any they send to see what other childhood smells I find.
